Monitors
Managing monitors
Add a monitor
Run any scan command with a cadence: /apex bi acme.com weekly. The bot confirms setup and delivers the first report within a few minutes. Future reports run automatically on your chosen schedule.
Change cadence or channel
Run /apex settings and edit the monitor you want to update. You can change the delivery channel, scan frequency, or competitor URL. Changes take effect on the next scheduled run.
Re-run immediately
Click the Re-run button on any delivered BI or Price Monitor report. This kicks a fresh scan using one of your weekly quota. Results deliver to the same thread and channel.
Remove a monitor
Open the App Home (click Apex Radar under Apps in your sidebar). Each monitor card has a Remove button. Confirming stops all future scheduled scans. Past reports are kept for 90 days.
View your monitors
The App Home shows every active monitor with its last scan date, next scheduled run, and the most recent finding. It also shows your current plan and weekly scan usage.
Scan limits
If you hit your weekly scan limit, the bot posts a clear message and blocks the scan. Your limit resets every Monday. Upgrade your plan from /apex settings to increase your weekly quota.
AI Q&A
Ask Claude
After any report is delivered, you can ask follow-up questions directly in Slack. Click Ask Claude on the report card to open the question dialog, or reply in the report thread and the bot responds in context.
Sessions stay active for 30 minutes of inactivity. Type "done", "stop", or "exit" to end the session early. Starting a new scan clears any active session.
Ask Claude has access to the full report content — pricing data, competitor moves, hiring signals, sentiment analysis, and the strategic priorities — so your questions can be specific.
Limits reset at midnight UTC.
Billing
Plans and billing
Upgrade your plan
Run /apex settings in Slack. The settings panel shows your current plan and an upgrade button. Clicking it opens the Stripe billing page. Your plan updates the moment payment completes and your new scan quota applies from the next Monday reset.
Cancel your subscription
Run /apex settings and use the cancel option. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep full access until then. No cancellation fees, no lock-in. If you cancel and want to resubscribe later, run /apex settings again.
Payment issues
If a payment fails, your account moves to a grace period where scans continue. Stripe retries automatically. If payment is not resolved, access is suspended until billing is updated. Update your card directly in the Stripe billing portal linked from /apex settings.
Billing cycle
Subscriptions bill monthly on the date you first subscribed. Stripe sends a receipt to the email on your Stripe account. To change your billing email, update it in the Stripe portal.
Trial to paid
The free trial gives you 5 scans total with full Pro access — use them on any scan type in any order. When you are ready to upgrade, run /apex settings. Your first charge is your first billing date.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for completed billing periods. If you have a concern about a specific charge, email hello@apexarchitects.xyz and we will review it.
Troubleshooting
Common questions
How do I upgrade my plan?
Run /apex settings in any channel. The settings panel shows your current plan and a button to upgrade. Clicking it opens the Stripe billing page. Your plan updates immediately after payment and scan limits reset at the start of the next week.
How do I cancel?
Run /apex settings and use the cancel option in the billing section. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access until then. No cancellation fees.
My report didn't deliver. What happened?
Check that the bot has access to the channel you configured. If the channel is private, you may need to invite the bot with /invite @Apex Radar. If the scan is still running, wait a few minutes and check the thread on the original command message. If you see no activity after 10 minutes, run the command again or contact hello@apexarchitects.xyz.
How do I change which channel reports go to?
Run /apex settings, find the monitor you want to update, and edit the alert channel. The change takes effect on the next scheduled scan. You can also re-run immediately using the Re-run button on any existing report.
How do I re-run a scan immediately?
Click the Re-run button on any delivered report card. This uses one scan from your weekly quota. Re-run is available on Business Intelligence and Price Monitor reports. Content Monitor and Audit reports do not have a Re-run button.
How do I remove a monitor?
Open the App Home tab by clicking Apex Radar in your sidebar under Apps. Each monitor card has a Remove button. Confirming removal stops all future scheduled scans for that monitor. It does not affect past reports.
What is Ask Claude?
After any report is delivered, click the Ask Claude button on the report card. A dialog opens where you can ask a follow-up question about the report. You can also reply directly in the report thread to continue the conversation. Ask Claude sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity.
How many Ask Claude questions can I ask?
Trial: 5 questions per day. Starter: 50 per day. Pro: 200 per day. Agency: unlimited. Limits reset at midnight.
My scan count seems wrong.
Scan counts reset every Monday at 00:00 UTC. The App Home shows your current week usage. If a scan failed before completing, it may or may not have counted depending on the failure point. Contact hello@apexarchitects.xyz with your workspace ID if you believe there is an error.
What happens when I uninstall Apex Radar?
Removing the app from your Slack workspace triggers immediate deletion of all your data: workspace record, monitor configurations, cached reports, scan snapshots, usage counters, and Ask Claude history. Your Stripe subscription is not automatically cancelled — cancel from /apex settings before uninstalling if you want to stop billing.
How do I request my data or ask for deletion?
Email hello@apexarchitects.xyz with your Slack team ID (visible in /apex settings). We will export or delete your data within 30 days.
What sites can Apex Radar scan?
Any publicly accessible website. Apex Radar does not access login-protected pages, internal tools, or sites that block crawlers via robots.txt. We respect crawl delays and do not hammer competitor infrastructure.
